You are scheduling a new patient men’s health evaluation with our Board-certified men’s health urology specialty physician, Dr. Stephen Watson. Your visit is intended to address your concerns and questions about testicular or scrotal concerns. Depending on your particular concerns, our doctors can help you with topics relating to testicular pain, fertility questions, and evaluation of scrotal/testicular/paratesticular lumps and bumps (masses) of uncertain cause. Your evaluation should set your mind at ease and help establish a clear diagnosis and plan of care. We’ll have you seen promptly, answer your questions and get you going again! Perhaps you should be checked for testicular cancer, the most common cancer in younger men. This may be done by physical examination, painless light transillumination of the mass, ultrasonography, other imaging, and sometimes blood testing. A tender scrotal mass is a common finding associated with infection (epididymitis-orchitis). A nontender fluid-filled scrotal mass commonly represents a serous filled sac (hydrocele) or a spermatic fluid filled cyst (spermatocele). However, a nontender solid testicular mass sometimes proves to be testicular cancer, which obviously required attention without delay. Many possibilities exist and urology specialty evaluation is indicated in essentially every case. If radiology imaging is needed, it will be scheduled. If you should ultimately require any service not available locally, we will provide assistance.
