Harold R. Neitzschman, III, M.D. is a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Urology.  He was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana.  He attended De LaSalle High School and completed undergraduate studies at Tulane University where he received his bachelor of science in biology in 1986.  His love for the City, family and friends kept him close to home, attending Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, receiving his doctorate of medicine in 1990.  From there he trained at Charity Hospital (LSU), New Orleans in general surgery, completing his internship in 1992.  He then moved on to urology residency, completing the Ochsner Medical Foundation program in 1996.  Dr. Neitzschman was certified by the American Board of Urology in 1998.

Dr. Neitzschman has authored and presented numerous research papers concerning a wide-range of urological topics at meetings around the nation. Topics include somatostatin analogs, laser prostatectomy, malignant prostate tissue ablation, electrolytes in kidney stone disease, prostate cryosurgery, other prostate cancer topics, urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction and hematuria.

Dr. Neitzschman has served as President of the St. Tammany Parish Medical Society, Chairman of the Department of Surgery of Northshore Regional Medical Center, Chief of Staff of Northshore Regional Medical Center and Associate Clinical Professor of Urology within the Department of Urology at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans.  He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and member of the Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association and the American Urological Association.

Personal interests include his wife and 4 children, as well as hobbies which include racquetball, tennis, golf, basketball, running, snow skiing and fishing.  Dr. Neitzschman's professional special interests are prostate cancer surgery, minimally invasive treatments for stone disease and urinary incontinence.  His urologic practice is comprehensive, offering treatment to patients of all ages including all aspects of urological care.
