TheraLith® may be of particular importance for kidney stone formers having low urinary magnesium levels, low urinary citrate levels, elevated urinary calcium levels, or elevated urinary oxalate levels. The vitamins and minerals contained in TheraLith® have been proven to reduce calcium oxalate kidney stones, as well as, calcium phosphate kidney stones in clinical research studies. Dietary magnesium intake is directly linked to urinary magnesium levels. Research suggests that magnesium inhibits kidney stone crystallization, and magnesium also reduces urinary oxalate levels. These factors may result in reduced stone formation particularly for those patients having the most common form of kidney stones -- calcium oxalate.
